For organisations

Working with your service

I deliver art psychotherapy groups on a sessional basis with charities and community services in and around Glasgow. Groups can be commissioned directly, or included as a costed element in your own funding applications.

Who it can help

Many people fall between primary and secondary mental health care: too complex for short-term support, but not meeting the threshold for specialist services. A relational, longer-term group can offer them something that's hard to find elsewhere, and complement the support you already provide.

Working together

I provide

  • Individual assessment, group delivery and review
  • Art materials
  • Clinical supervision
  • An end-of-group outcomes report

Your organisation provides

  • Referrals, including self-referral routes
  • A suitable private room with tables and a sink
  • A named contact available during sessions
  • Access to your safeguarding procedures
  • A co-facilitator from your team, such as a staff member or peer support worker

Co-facilitation

Groups are co-facilitated with a member of your team, such as a staff member or peer support worker who already knows your service. This is good practice for therapy groups: it adds safety, keeps sessions running if one facilitator is unwell, and lets members see curiosity and repair modelled in the room. I hold clinical responsibility and offer your co-facilitator a short briefing beforehand. A second art psychotherapist can co-facilitate instead, at additional cost.

Safety and governance

Every member has an individual assessment and safety plan before joining. With consent, their GP is informed. A written agreement sets out safeguarding, clinical responsibility and the named on-site contact.

Outcomes

You receive a short report at the end of each group, suitable for funders: wellbeing scores at the start and end (such as SWEMWBS or CORE-10), attendance and completion, and members' own reflections, shared anonymously and with consent.
